About WizTrip
Honest family travel guides from trips we actually took
WizTrip is our family travel blog. We write about trips we actually take: where we stayed, what we did, where we ate, and what we would do differently next time.
We're a family of three who travels whenever we can, from national parks and road trips in the US to a month in Sri Lanka. We stay anonymous on purpose. You won't see our faces or names here, but every trip, photo and opinion is ours.
What makes WizTrip different
Trips we actually took
Every guide, itinerary and review comes from our own travels. If we mention something we didn't do ourselves, we say so.
Made for family trips
How much time to plan, where to eat nearby, when to go, and what kept everyone happy. The details that make a family trip easier.
Honest and practical
Prices, booking tips, what age it suits, and what we'd do differently. The good and the bad, without the fluff.
A note on food allergies
Our son has a few food allergies, so we notice how restaurants and hotels handle them. When it matters for a place, we mention it in the post, and now and then we write about it in more detail, like how we ate in Sri Lanka. Every family's needs are different, so always confirm with the restaurant or hotel yourself.
How we travel and review
- We pay for our own trips, often with credit card points. If a hotel or company ever gives us something for free, we'll say so at the top of that post.
- We only write about places we've been. If we suggest something we didn't do ourselves, we say so.
- We share the good and the bad. If a room was dated or a meal was disappointing, you'll read about it.
- We keep posts practical: prices, booking tips, what age it suits, and what we'd do differently next time.
How WizTrip is funded
Some posts contain affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Hotel links usually go straight to the hotel's own website, and those earn us nothing. Our affiliate disclosure explains how this works. We also own a vacation rental, Wisconsin Dells Getaway, and we always say so when we mention it.
