Affiliate Disclosure
How WizTrip earns money, and how we keep our recommendations honest.
Last updated October 2026
The short version: some links on WizTrip are affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it helps us keep the site running.
How affiliate links work
When a post recommends a tour, a booking site or a product, the link may include a tracking code. If you book through it, that company pays us a percentage of the sale or a flat fee. You pay the same price as you would going to the site directly.
Every post that contains affiliate links says so near the top. Our recommendation boxes also say which buttons are affiliate links and which aren't.
Programs we use
We're currently part of:
- Travelpayouts, a travel affiliate network. Through it we work with brands such as Klook, Tiqets, Aviasales and Kiwi.com, plus other travel booking sites as they approve us.
We'll update this list whenever it changes.
How we decide what to recommend
- Experience comes first. We write about places we stayed, tours we took and restaurants where we ate. When we mention something we didn't do ourselves, we say so.
- Commission doesn't decide the pick. If the best option for a family doesn't pay us anything, we still recommend it. Many of our links go to official hotel, attraction and government ticket sites that earn us nothing.
- Hotel links are direct by default. Unless a button says otherwise, a hotel link goes to the hotel's own website. Where we also offer a booking-site button, it's labeled as an affiliate link.
- Free programs stay free. When something is free, like the Touristanbul layover tour from Turkish Airlines, we link to the official page.
What we don't do
- We don't accept payment for reviews or for a positive opinion.
- We don't publish reviews written by anyone other than us.
- We don't use pop-ups or pages that open on their own to push offers.
Free stays and sponsored content
We pay for our own travel, usually with a mix of cash and credit card points. If a hotel, tour company or brand ever gives us something for free or at a discount, we'll say so clearly at the top of that post.
Our own businesses
We own Wisconsin Dells Getaway, a vacation rental in Wisconsin Dells. We mention it in some of our Wisconsin Dells posts, and we always say it's ours. We're also Hyatt Vacation Club owners, and our Hyatt Vacation Club reviews say so.
